Jacksonville Jaguars outside linebacker Travon Walker was an absolute menace while he played for the Georgia football program. Recently he gave thanks to the player he became in Athens, giving the UGA Athletic Association a hefty donation through his foundation, via the Georgia football Twitter account.

“Walker's donation is part of the Foundation's #BlessUp44 campaign, which annually gives $4,400 a total of 44 times, symbolizing Walker's jersey No. 44. The gift to UGA accounts for 10 of these donations in 2023.”

Travon Walker will be donating $44,000 total, a sum that the Georgia football program and university will undoubtedly be grateful for. The donation comes as a thanks from Walker for putting him in position to be drafted first overall last season.

While Walker will receive plenty of high praise for this gesture, most of that will come from Bulldogs fans and not Jaguars fans. Walker did not put up the season last year that was likely expected of a first overall pick; all of Jacksonville will be expecting more from him this season, including Walker himself.

Luckily for Walker, not all eyes will be on him this season with all of the high expectations in Jacksonville. The Jaguars haven't had this kind of hype in quite some time, so Walker will be able to use that to his advantage and work in the shadows. It would come as no surprise to see a breakout season from Walker with a full NFL year under his belt and little distractions to be had. In the meantime, Georgia football will always be proud of Travon Walker and very grateful for his massive donation.
