For New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins, the past is in the past. That means his performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3 is too.

Despite allowing 190 yards and three touchdowns to Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans last Sunday, Jenkins doesn't feel the pressure. He's ignoring last week and moving on to Washington in Week 4.

“Ain’t no pressure,” Jenkins said Friday, via Matt Lombardo of NJ.com. “It’s important to come back out and play football. Everybody gets paid. Like I said, there ain’t no pressure.”

New York beat Tampa Bay in Week 3, 32-31. However, Jenkins didn't help them do so. In the final minute of the game, Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston found Evans working on Jenkins. The result: a 46-yard reception that set up Tampa Bay in field goal range. Unfortunately for those in Florida, their kicker, Matt Gay, missed the field goal.

If it weren't for Gay's missed kick, Jenkins would undoubtedly take more heat entering Week 4. However, his defense surely is. Through three weeks, they've been a shaky unit, allowing a league-high 332.3 passing yards per game and eight touchdowns to one interception.

Jenkins claims the defense's slow start will only motivate him.

“It motivates us to come together as a defense. For everybody to play faster, play harder and count on each other to do their job. We’re going to be okay.”

In Week 4, Jenkins won't have the task of defending a 6-foot-5 do-it-all receiver. However, rookie Terry McLaurin — who set an NFL record (at least five receptions and one touchdown in each of his first three games) last week — has been giving fits to anyone covering him.
