The New York Giants lost in frustrating fashion to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11 of the NFL season under the bright lights of Monday Night Football. The Giants offense, led by coordinator Jason Garrett, mustered just 10 points and 215 total yards of offense while committing three turnovers. The ugly showing led head coach Joe Judge to candidly assess the state of his coaching staff with the team sitting at 3-7. Judge is clearly not happy and his harsh comments put Garrett on the hot seat.

Yikes. That doesn't sound good for Jason Garrett, who has been the Giants offensive coordinator since 2020. Garrett's uninspiring offense ranked 31st in the NFL in points per game last season, with this year's installment not placing much better at 25th.

Giants head coach Joe Judge is seemingly secure in his job status for now, but comments about “needing to put players in better position” don't sound good for the status of Garrett. Equally foreboding for Garrett is the part where Judge encourages the Giants reporters to essentially put it in writing that the coaching needs to be better.

Garrett admitted last week that the play of the offensive line can sometimes limit what the Giants are able to do on offense, but Judge seems like he isn't in the mood to discuss why the results aren't there.

The Giants didn't just struggle on offense against the Buccaneers. They looked like a team without a plan, or at least one that doesn't fully buy into the one currently being sold to them. That, and the comments of Giants head coach Joe Judge on Tuesday following the game, could spell doom for Jason Garrett's status as the offensive coordinator.
