Since the end of the 2017 NFL season, there has been plenty of questions concerning Odell Beckham Jr.'s long-term future with the New York Giants. He is set to enter the fifth-year option of his rookie deal without a new extension in place that has only further brought attention to that situation.

Early on in the offseason, there were questions arising about Beckham Jr.'s maturity level along with some off-the-field concerns that led to some hesitation from the Giants. However, it appears that the 25-year-old is making strides forward with on that end as Pro Bowl safety Landon Collins has stated that he has seen a renewed focus toward putting the team first ahead of himself, according to Tom Rock of Newsday.

Despite not having a new deal in place, Beckham Jr. has taken the initiative to show that he has focused purely on the field and helping the team in any manner that he can. What has also been encouraging is that he has been able to participate in training camp that shows he has made significant progress in his recovery from a broken leg that he suffered last October.

All of this could be huge in helping Beckham Jr. secure that lucrative long-term deal that he has been eyeing over the last few months of the offseason. His production on the field has more than warranted possibly becoming the highest-paid player in the league at his position.

If he can continue on that path over the next several weeks, it could bring clarity to his contract situation ahead of the start of the 2018 season.
