The New York Giants season has got worse as the year has progressed. All Pro running back Saquon Barkley missed more time with injury. Quarterback Daniel Jones did not take the leap forward Giants fans were hoping to see. Jones was then placed on season-ending injured reserve, opening the door for Mike Glennon.

Glennon started the last three games for the Giants. He is yet to reach 200 yards passing in any of them. Last week, did not even throw for 100 yards in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

That has prompted the Giants to look elsewhere at quarterback.

The Giants are reportedly planning on starting former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Jake Fromm Sunday. Fromm was the team's 5th round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. At the time, the move scratched many heads, as there was still optimism surrounding Daniel Jones' potential.

Fromm made his NFL debut in relief last week against the Cowboys. He finished 6 for 12 for 82 yards. Considering Mike Glennon threw for 99 yards and three interceptions on 24 pass attempts, things can only get better. So, the organization is looking to make a change.

The New York Giants play at the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday and are large underdogs. Philadelphia is fighting for its playoff life. They are 7-7 and tied with the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints for the final wild card spot. The door opened wide for Philadelphia with San Francisco's loss Thursday night.

This will likely be Fromm's first career start if he gets the nod Sunday. With uncertainty around Jones' future and Glennon clearly not the answer behind him, New York is exploring other options.
