The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys have a storied rivalry. Decades of battling for dominance of the NFC East has led to lots of bad blood between the two teams. But when Giants head coach Pat Shurmur was asked about Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, he had nothing but good things to say.

Shurmur has surely been doing extensive study on Prescott, as the Giants and Cowboys meet again in Week 1. Almost everybody thinks that Dallas will take this one, but if the Giants can contain Prescott, anything can happen. Then again, that is a big if. The Cowboys starter torched the Giants in both meetings last year, totaling 547 yards with five passing touchdowns, along with two Dallas victories.

While no one expects the Giants to be anything but terrible this year, they could surprise some folks. Whenever Big Blue faces off against a division opponent, they have a way of making things close. Both losses to the Cowboys last year came by one score, with one game only lost by one point. In fact, every game that the Giants played against division rivals was decided by one score, except one. While it's true the Giants have only gotten worse, the saying “Any given Sunday” still applies.

The G-Men face off against Dallas in Week 1 and Week 9. Personally, these games remain must-watch TV for me, as they have all the makings of a great competition. Two teams that don't like each other, a fierce desire to win on both sides, and the division on the line. What more could you ask for?
