New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur has led his team to a lowly 2-8 record on the season. Unable to defend MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford in Week 10, the Giants came up short against the team's cross stadium rival, the New York Jets.

With Shurmur and the Giants giving up a whopping 34 points to the typically dismal Jets, the Giants ultimately lost by seven points en route to suffering the team's eighth loss of the year in only 10 weeks.

Despite such an underachieving start to the season for the Giants, Shurmur is not concerned about potentially losing his job, according to Jordan Ranaan of ESPN.

The state of the Giants: “Disappointment” is the word Pat Shurmur used to describe it. Ask about concern for his job with six straight losses entering the bye week, he said his concern is putting a team on the field that can win football games.

Of course, Shurmur and the Giants are just getting started with the team's current plan to turn things around in a big way. Rookie quarterback Daniel Jones is attempting to get his feet wet atop the highest level after being selected with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Due to the young roster that Shurmur is trotting out on the field these days, one would think the Giants will give him time to develop the aforementioned tandem of players — in addition to a few more up-and-comers.

The clock is ticking as the Giants will eventually need to produce some positive results, whether it is through wins or the appearance of improvement.
