New York Giants rookie Andrew Thomas has had an up-and-down maiden season in the NFL. But that didn't stop him from sending some love this Christmas season.

As reported by the New York Post, the 21-year-old left tackle gave out 50 turkeys and granted the wishes of five selected families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in his hometown of Lithonia, Georgia. At such a young age, Thomas already knows how to pay it forward, especially after getting a $32 million deal with the Giants.

“We put together some bags to make people feel a little better during this time. I want to help out my community as much as I can, not just with giving, but I’m thinking of planning things around how to manage money and pay your bills. Having this contract to help others is a big thing.”

The fourth overall pick in this year's NFL Draft, Thomas said he drew inspiration from his childhood in helping out others as Christmas wasn't always about the gifts when he was growing up. Good old soul food, however, was always a thing for them.

“I grew up in a two-parent household, and my grandmother would cook for every big holiday. There were some Christmases we might not have presents, but when I was 12 or 13, I wasn’t expecting much, and somehow, some way, my parents got me the Playstation 3.”

After paying it forward, Thomas flew in his parents, sister, and girlfriend to his new home in the Big Apple. But of course, he made sure they were all cleared for COVID-19 so he won't miss their game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Good rookie that Andrew Thomas.
