Last week Jay Glazer got the rumor mill rolling with his prediction that New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will be traded. It got a lot of people talking, and not many were excited with Glazer's prediction, but it hasn't made him back off of it.

Glazer is so confident that Beckham Jr. will be traded that he doubled down on the belief, reiterating that he thinks Beckham Jr. won't be on the Giants when the 2019 season begins

“When I made the prediction, I was a little surprised at how shocked everyone seemed to be. Plenty of trade rumors swirled around Beckham last year,” Glazer wrote for TheAthletic.com. “John Mara had some sharp things to say about Odell last offseason before they signed him, and it was reported that he could be traded to the Rams and other teams, and, according to Chris Simms, the New England Patriots were reportedly also very interested.”

“There were other teams calling around the trade deadline, so that wasn’t hidden information. It was Pat Shurmur who had to convince the Giants to re-sign him, that he would be worth it, that he would be able to keep the circus at a minimum.”

Glazer also points out how many holes the Giants have to fill and how far they actually are away from competing. Trading Beckham Jr. might help them fill a couple of those holes and get them closer to competing again, something Beckham probably can't do by himself despite his immense talent.
