New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley has wasted no time in making his presence felt against the Washington Redskins in Week 16. He has even managed to flash his skill set as a viable option for quarterback Daniel Jones in the passing game.

Barkley hauled in an impressive 33-yard strike from Jones to give New York the lead, via NFL Twitter:

It is no secret that Barkley has largely underwhelmed from a production standpoint in the 2019 NFL season. Although there are a number of issues that factored into his modest numbers, plays like this still help to solidify his status as one of the league's elite running backs.

While it has been a disappointing year for the Giants, they are still looking to end the year on a high note before some looming adjustments are likely made in the offseason. Regardless, it is safe to assume that every decision will be centered around the progression of Barkley and Jones.
