Grant Hill is the latest athlete to get involved in the world of MMA. Hill isn't the one competing though. Myla Hill, his daughter, is the MMA fighter of the family.

Myla Hill made her amateur MMA debut on Friday with both of her parents nervously watching. MMA can be extremely stressful to watch for family members.

Grant Hill had nothing to worry about as Myla won by submission in the first round. Starting off her MMA journey in style.

The NBA legend posted about the fight a few days later on Twitter. He was in awe of his daughter's performance.

“4 days later, and I'm still in awe of my daughter Myla's performance in her first amateur MMA fight. She was focused, composed (which her mother and I were not before & during the fight), aggressive & clearly not afraid of the moment inside the octagon. #TeamMyla #ProudDad”

Myla Hill could potentially go pro if her amateur career goes well. Opponents will want to use her big name to their advantage and add someone notable to their record.

Myla is currently 19 years old and already has a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. She showed it off by snatching up the submission in her first win.

It will be interesting to see how far she can take her MMA career after her successful debut. It's obvious she's taking it seriously and is training at a high level.

Grant Hill will have plenty of fights he can nervously watch from the sidelines. The nervousness will never truly go away for the proud parent.
