Veteran big man Joakim Noah is expected to reach an agreement to join the Memphis Grizzlies after meeting with the team later in the week.

Per 2018 bylaws, this news was hurled toward the general public by way of the mean streets of Twitter.

Noah has been a non-factor since leaving the Chicago Bulls. When Phil Jackson, then main man in charge, brought him over to the New York Knicks for all the money, many experts believed he was already washed. Given his lack of time on the floor with the Knicks, it could be argued those sentiments were accurate.

It's not hard to predict few minutes await the veteran now that he's headed to the Grizzlies. Aging, often injured big men don't miraculously become younger, less injured large members of the human species. While complete conjecture on this end, he's likely being brought in to mentor the youthful frontcourt Memphis currently has.

Nevertheless, this appears to end a weird chapter for the Knicks, who are currently trotting about NBA hardwoods with a youthful roster. Bringing in Noah did pretty much nothing for the franchise.

The Grizzlies, on the other hand, are hoping for at least some mentoring. Either way, secure that bag, Noah.
