Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is already creating a lot of “trouble” for NBA teams two years into his pro career, and Allen Iverson thinks he'll be more lethal with a consistent jump shot.

In a recent talk with Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report, Iverson shared what he thinks about Morant and his game. According to the NBA legend, he sees a lot of himself in the Grizzlies youngster, but Morant can even become better with an automatic jumper.

“Once his jumper is basically automatic, trouble. He's trouble right now. He got the whole package,” Iverson said of Morant.

Entering Year 3, Ja Morant certainly has bigger aspirations. An All-Star berth is certainly very much possible, especially considering the way he played in 2020-21, and another playoffs appearance for Memphis isn't that far off.

However, as Allen Iverson said it, Morant needs a more consistent jump shot to be able to take his game to the next level. It's also the biggest knock on his game entering the 2019 NBA Draft, and it is worth noting that his 3-point shooting took a dip in his second year (from 33.5 percent in his rookie season to just 30.3 percent the following year).

Fortunately for the Grizzlies, Morant is more than willing to improve his game and take himself and the team to greater heights. And if he's able to be a threat from mid-range and beyond the arc, the Memphis offense will certainly get a big boost.
