American rapper J. Cole just dropped his latest studio album called ‘The Off-Season‘ and everyone is hyped, especially Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzles. In his single “my.life”, Cole name-dropped the young Memphis superstar to let the entire world know that he's still one of the greatest rappers in the game right now.

“Ja Morant, I'm on my Grizzly,” Cole rapped.

Cole also went on to drop some bars referring to other superstars in the league right now like aside from Morant. He also mentions LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Russell Westbrook of the Washington Wizards, and even sampled a post-game presser from Dame D.O.L.L.A. himself, Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers. I guess it's safe to say that these records will be playing non-stop once the NBA Playoffs hit next week (h/t to Cameron Wolfe of ESPN).

By now, the entire world knows that J. Cole is a huge hoop head. The 36-year-old had his fair share of the basketball limelight in both his high school and collegiate days. He even raised some eyebrows with an impressive alley-oop slam in the 2012 NBA All-Star Weekend Celebrity Game, just like the young Grizzlies superstar.  To top it all off, the rapper just signed a contract with the Rwanda Patriots BBC for the inaugural season of the Basketball Africa League. He is set to play in three-six games for the Patriots as he's poised to make his professional basketball debut.

Now that's how you make a promo for your record. Cole is looked up to as one of the best rappers in the game right now and it seems that he's further cementing his spot at the top with all his latest moves.

It's J. Cole's world and we're all just living in it.
