Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant didn't need “experience” to make an impact on his first playoff series. Just give him the ball and he'll score, no matter what the situation or how high the pressure is.

While the Grizzlies have fallen to a 2-1 deficit to the Utah Jazz, Morant can't be blamed for their performance (or, at least not alone). He has been sensational offensively for the team, as he even became only the fourth player in NBA history to score 100 or more points over his first three playoff games. The other three on the list? They are just named Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Not even Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic or Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James were able to achieve such feat despite being some of the most gifted scorers of their generations.

Doncic, who made his first playoff appearance in 2019-20, scored 83 points in his first three career playoff games. As for the Grizzlies star, he scored 26 in Game 1 against the Jazz, followed it up with a 47-point explosion in Game 2, and then put forth a 28-point outing in Saturday's Game 3 for a whopping total of 101.

Now that's some elite scoring!

Several fans have doubted Ja Morant's ability to lead the team, with some even saying he wouldn't win Rookie of the Year had Zion Williamson not been injured. While Zion made the All-Star Game first, Morant can proudly say he got to the postseason before him — even while being the leader of the squad.

Sure enough, it's time to put some respect on Morant's name and game.
