Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is one of the most exciting dunkers in the Association. However, we've never actually seen him participate in the Slam Dunk Competition.

Morant explained how he was keen on being in it earlier in his career, but now, because of the judging, Morant isn't interested. Unless the NBA paid him a whopping $1 million. Via Bleacher Report:

Okay, we highly doubt the league is going to front up with that type of coin just to have the Grizzlies guard as a participant, but he does kind of have a point from his take on the judges. There have been some wild dunks that haven't even received great scores in the past couple of years.

But, seeing Morant in the competition would surely be a sight for sore eyes. His hops and athleticism are absolutely insane and you'd have to believe the former Rookie of the Year would have some wild dunks up his sleeve.

Morant also discussed how there are so many players across the NBA who are capable of throwing down highlight-reel slams on a nightly basis, which in Morant's opinion, has kind of taken away the appeal of the contest. By the sounds of it, it doesn't seem like the Grizzlies franchise centerpiece will be in it anytime soon unless the league forks out some serious coin.
