While Ja Morant has been compared to players like Derrick Rose, Allen Iverson, and Russell Westbrook, the Memphis Grizzlies guard has actually done something that none of those guys did in their prime years.

After exploding for 34 points against the Washington Wizards on Saturday, Morant now has 13 games this season with at least 20 points in the paint. According to Grizzlies twitter, he is the first guard to record such feat in the last 25 years.

Ja Morant has been ridiculously great this season, and he is a big reason why the Grizzlies are contending for the top seed in the Western Conference. While the whole Memphis team should also be given credit for thriving even in games where their fiery guard was absent, there's just no doubt that they are an even more unstoppable squad with Morant leading the way.

For what it's worth, Morant's performance this 2021-22 has been acknowledged by fans, players, and the media alike after he was voted as an All-Star starter for the first time in his career. It was also his first All-Star appearance, and he pretty much left zero doubt to voters that he should be in the annual festivity.

With the way he is playing, it's doubtful that Morant will stop at 13 games when it comes to dominating the paint. He has established himself as one of the best finishers at the rim in the NBA today, and he has shown no signs of slowing down.

Better be ready, NBA.
