The Golden State Warriors have built the NBA's greatest dynasty over the past decade. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and the Dubs are almost always in contention for a title. But the jumpstart Memphis Grizzlies and Ja Morant made things interesting this season. Memphis finished the regular season as the higher ranked team in the West and one can only wonder what may have transpired in the Western Conference Semifinals had Ja Morant stayed healthy for the Grizzlies.

This matchup has the makings of a rivalry for years to come. An individual rivalry was also born this year. Ja Morant and Steph Curry went at each other all series long prior to Morant's injury. But even with tension between the teams and players, Morant expressed his respect for Curry in a recent Twitter post.

fav matchup. looking forward to more battles 30..

Ja Morant revealed that Steph Curry is his favorite matchup in the league.

Curry is the greatest three-point shooter of all-time who makes a living from beyond the arc. Morant is one of the most athletic guards in the NBA and his rim-finishing ability is Russell Westbrook-esque. But their head-to-head matchups are exciting despite their different approaches to the game.

Memphis has a young roster that expects to make a Finals run down the road. The Warriors roster features a number of veterans who still have plenty left in the tank. These two organizations should produce passionate and enticing head-to-head contests over the next few years with Ja Morant and Steph Curry leading the charge.
