Memphis Grizzlies fans cringed on Friday night when superstar guard Ja Morant had to be helped off the court after suffering an apparent knee injury. Luckily though, he steered clear of an ACL tear and was just diagnosed with a sprain. It's unknown how long Ja will be out, but his good friend and teammate Jaren Jackson Jr sent him a heartfelt message on social media right after:

Jackson and Morant are one of the better guard/center duos in the league, but Ja's absence undoubtedly will be felt by the Grizzlies. After all, he's in the midst of an All-Star campaign, averaging 24.1 points, 5.6 boards, and 6.8 assists per night. Without him, Memphis is going to have a very hard time winning ballgames.

Jackson Jr meanwhile will be one of the main players who need to step up. The big man is posting averages of just 14.8 points and 5.5 rebounds this season. Knee sprains usually take around a month to recover from, but the Grizzlies are hoping Morant can be back even sooner. They're currently 9-10 on the year after losing by 32 to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.

Let's hope Morant can continue to show out on a nightly basis when healthy and get the Grizzlies back to the playoffs.
