The Memphis Grizzlies and Serbian guard Marko Guduric have agreed to a multi-year deal, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times.

The Grizzlies confirmed the signing with an official release. While terms of the contract were not disclosed, Omari Sanfoka II of The Athletic reports that the deal is worth $5.3 million over two years.

Guduric is a 6-foot-6 guard who has played four seasons in the EuroLeague. Most recently, the Serbian national played for Fenerbahce, averaging 9.4 points and 2.2 assists per game. He shot 54.9 percent from the filed and 47.7 percent from three.

One attribute that Guduric will bring to the Grizzlies is his veteran experience. Guduric has played for the Serbian national team and helped Serbia win a silver medal at EuroBasket 17. While Memphis won't be competing for any hardware this season, the guard can still bring some basketball wisdom and experience into a locker room that is overwhelmingly young.

The swingman joins a team that is not only full of young talent but is also in rebuild mode. The Grizzlies will begin their first season without Marc Gasol or Mike Conley on their roster in over a decade. Now that the old franchise legends are gone, it is time for Memphis to form new ones.

Guduric will compete for minutes at the shooting guard position with Dillon Brooks, Grayson Allen and John Konchar. The good news for the newest Grizzly is that since the team is in a full rebuild, they will be sure to experiment lineups, thereby giving him plenty of opportunities to play.
