The NBA free agent market is still flush with talents despite all top-tier commodities already finding their ways to new contracts. Among those who have yet to put ink on paper is restricted free agent JaMychal Green, who’s still holding out despite the Memphis Grizzlies offering the big man what Chris Herrington of The Commercial Appeal is reporting as more than the amount of his qualifying offer worth $2,820,497.

“They’ve offered significantly more than that, but also significantly less than Green and his agent were probably expecting when the process began.”

Green is being represented on the negotiation table by his agent, Michael Hodges, who likely believes that his client certainly deserves more money than what the Grizzlies are dangling in front of them.

JaMychal Green played his best basketball in three years in the NBA last season, averaging 8.9 points and 7.1 rebounds across 77 games for the Grizzlies, while showing some nice range for a big man, as he also shot 35.9 percent from the 3-point area.

Per BasketballInsiders.com, the Grizzlies are well above the salary cap of $99,093,000 for this season with an inclusive total of $109,487,672 worth of players’ salaries on the books — counting Green’s qualifying offer that remains floating.
