Memphis Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins went on a rant regarding the officials after his team's 127-121 loss to the Utah Jazz on Friday, and has been fined $25,000 for the public criticism of the officiating, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.

“Saddle up,” Taylor Jenkins said after the loss to the Jazz, via MacMahon. “One of the most poorly officiated games I've ever seen. Record it. I'm fine with it. F***ing atrocious.”

The Grizzlies dropped to 1-8 with the loss as their rough start to the season continued. Jaren Jackson Jr.'s ejection in the third quarter was a key point for Jenkins.

“He's one of the most professional players in this league and gets a double technical foul, and the excuse that I get is that he's charging at an official,” Jenkins said of Jaren Jackson Jr.'s ejection, via MacMahon. “It's called de-escalation.”

Jenkins went on to cite the 29-13 advantage in free throws attempted, and poor communication with the officials throughout the game.

“Our team is competing their ass off, and this is what happened?” Jenkins said, via MacMahon. “The interactions right now with the officials — complete disrespect. I know what's coming. It's unbelievable, the looks on the faces when I'm trying to engage in conversation to defend our guys that are busting their tail right now.”

The Grizzlies need to turn things around fast to keep hope alive this season, and they have a chance to get a win on Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers. Despite the losses, Jenkins has his team's back, as shown by his comments that resulted in a fine.
