Memphis Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant is never hesitant to victimize defenders at the basket. On Saturday night’s match against the Los Angeles Lakers, the high-flying point guard attempted to posterize arguably the best shot blocker in the NBA today in Anthony Davis.
Morant did not finish the dunk and was called for a charge. Nonetheless, it did serve a pretty good “highlight-that-wasn’t.”

Sure enough, it would have been the perfect revenge for the Grizzlies rookie after Anthony Davis blocked him from behind earlier in the game.
This isn’t the first time that Morant attempted a career-ending poster. One of his more famous tries came against Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love earlier this season.
Luckily for Ja Morant and the Grizzlies, they had the last laugh after blowing out the Lakers, 105-88. This is a great confidence booster for Memphis as Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans are right on their coattails for the no.8 spot in the Western Conference playoff race.
