Despite being one of the league's best scorers off the bench for his entire career, Lou Williams has never been one to pay close attention to his shooting percentages. After his fourth-quarter brilliance led the shorthanded Atlanta Hawks to an impressive 111-104 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, Sweet Lou opened up about the matter.

“Listen, I've had worse games where I haven't been able to score,” Williams said, per Kevin Chouinard of Hawks.com. ”My confidence never wavers. … For scorers like me, when one drops we feel we can make 10 in a row.”

Lou Williams was actually held scoreless in the first three quarters of the match. While most players would probably get discouraged, the three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year winner saw this as a challenge. Lou Will scored all his 15 points in the final period, as he sank four 3-pointers in the final seven minutes of the ball game.

The 34-year-old scorer finished on 5-of-12 shooting from the field, including six assists and three rebounds in 26 minutes. The Hawks played without its best player Trae Young, who was diagnosed with a left ankle sprain. But his teammates picked up the slack, as Bogdan Bogdanovic caught fire with a game-high 32 points, while Kevin Huerter added 20 markers of his own.

However, it was Williams' timely baskets that propelled the Hawks to victory, overcoming Giannis Antetokounmpo's 31 points and 14 boards for Milwaukee. While Sweet Lou doesn't care about his shooting numbers, he's actually enjoying a phenomenal year since moving to Atlanta over the deadline.

In 14 games played in his second stint with the Hawks, Williams is making 41.1 percent of his shots from the floor and a career-high 45.0 percent success rate from long range.
