The Atlanta Hawks are the latest team to be bitten by the injury bug that's been going around the NBA so early in the season. David Aldridge of TNT reports that forward DeAndre’ Bembry has a fractured wrist after undergoing an MRI. He will return to Atlanta on Monday to receive a prognosis on his injury.

DeAndre' Bembry, 23, was drafted 21st overall by the Hawks in the 2016 draft out of St. Joseph’s. After averaging just 2.7 points in 9.8 minutes over 38 appearances in his rookie year, he was finally expected to get significant playing time this season as the primary backup behind starting small forward Taurean Prince.

Bembry played 18 minutes off the bench in the Hawks’ 117-111 win against the Dallas Mavericks in their season opener, scoring six points with six rebounds and two steals.

If DeAndre' Bembry does miss a significant amount of time out of the lineup, the Hawks will likely lean more heavily on Taurean Prince, Kent Bazemore, and Marco Belinelli to play bigger minutes on their wing rotation. None of the three played more than 27 minutes against the Mavs.

Veteran forward Luke Babbitt, who played nine minutes and scored five points off the bench against Dallas, could also see a slight uptick in minutes.
