The Atlanta Hawks may be down one player short in their upcoming game. Hawks forward Omari Spellman left the game versus the Los Angeles Clippers early due to a right hip contusion.

He only played 14 minutes versus the Clippers in a 127-119 loss, but he did have seven points, a rebound and an assist. The loss for the Hawks against the Clippers puts them at 3-14 on the season and they now have loss eight straight.

There was no update on Spellman after the game. Spellman on the season is averaging 6.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.5 blocks per game. He is shooting 39 percent from the field and 29.8 percent from three.

The Hawks are one of the youngest teams in the league, who are in a rebuilding process and the loss of Spellman hurts the the team badly.

He did not score a lot of points, but he brought in a pretty good chunk of rebounds and they are going to have to find someone to replace the production he had on the court.

It will be interesting to see how the Hawks cope with Spellman not being out there being one of their energy guys. Hopefully he can return to full health relatively soon.
