Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young is developing into one of the best young ball handlers in today's NBA, and his latest achievement is a testament to that fact.

According to a report from Justin Kubatko of StatMuse, Young now has the second-most 20-point, 10-assist games for any rookie over the last 50 years. The last player to achieve this feat was Damon Stoudamire, who had 24 such outings during the 1995-96 campaign.

Though the Hawks were defeated at the hands of the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night, 121-105, Young managed to lead his team in scoring. In 34 minutes of action, the former Oklahoma Sooner racked up 21 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the field (2-of-5 from beyond the arc), 12 assists, four rebounds, and one steal. John Collins added 20 points and 10 rebounds for Atlanta.

Young has been balling since the All-Star break. In fact, the 20-year-old has led his rookie class in several categories over that span, including points scored (25.3 per game since the break), assists (8.2), three-point field goals made (37) and free-throws made (82).

In 72 appearances with the Hawks this season (all starts), Young has posted averages of 18.5 points on 41.6 percent shooting (33.6 percent from downtown), 7.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds and just under one steal (0.8) in 30.8 minutes per outing.

The Hawks (24-48 and 5th in the Southeast Division) will be back in action on Thursday night when they'll welcome the Utah Jazz to town. Tip-off inside State Farm Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
