The Atlanta Hawks may have lost to the New York Knicks in their highly anticipated rematch after last meeting in the 2021 playoffs; however, Trae Young is not bothered by it.

After a close encounter that saw the Knicks pull away with a 99-90 victory, Young took to Twitter to share his optimism about the team. Sure, the Hawks lost in their growing rivalry with the ‘Bockers, but Ice Trae reminded everyone that it is only a regular season game and the whole campaign is a grind.

Trae Young played well against the Knicks, finishing with 33 points on 1o-of-22 shooting–including 5-of-10 from deep. He also had four rebounds and seven assists in nearly 40 minutes of play.

Unfortunately for Young, his efforts were not enough as the Knicks got some balanced production from Evan Fournier, Alec Burks, RJ Barrett and Obi Toppin.

While Young won't make a big deal out of the loss, the Knicks and their fan base are certainly ecstatic to take down the Hawks and their superstar. After all, Young has become a villain of sorts for New York supporters after his antics during the playoffs–which annoyed the hell out of the fans.

Simply put, the Knicks got the bragging rights for now over their new rivals.

Plus, this Hawks defeat should only make things even more interesting when they meet again on Christmas. Will Trae and Atlanta ruin the holidays in the Big Apple? Well, we will find out soon.
