Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks will be extremely shorthanded when they face off against Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. The Hawks are currently dealing with a slew of injuries and will be missing virtually half of their team as they host the Grizzlies.

This report comes via the Hawks on Twitter:

Both Clint Capela and Danilo Gallinari have been ruled out for Wednesday's tilt with respective injuries. Both players were active in Atlanta's last game — a 123-107 blowout win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday — but it has now been confirmed that they will both be out on the second night of a back-to-back set.

John Collins (sprained left ankle), De'Andre Hunter (minor knee procedure), and Cam Reddish (Achilles soreness) are all likewise nursing their own injuries and have been/expected to be on the shelf for a relatively extended period. Kris Dunn, on the other hand, has yet to make his season debut for the Hawks, but earlier reports state that he could be returning to action soon.

Trae Young will need to carry much of the load for the Hawks on Wednesday — more than he usually does — as they face off against a young and hungry Grizzlies side, who themselves are fighting for a playoff spot out West. Atlanta enters Wednesday's match riding a four-game winning streak, and they will hope to carry on with this run as they look to improve their standing in the East.
