You could hear a pin drop at Madison Square Garden on Sunday when Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young drained a game-winning floater with just seconds left in Game 1 against the Knicks. It was the biggest shot of the night for the guard, who went absolutely off in the first playoff game of his career.

Trae dropped 32 points and dished out 10 assists in a big win. He was the sole reason the Hawks came out victorious as New York had no answer for his scorching hot touch and dominance in the paint. In the process, Young made history. He became just the fourth player ever to score 30+ and collect 10+ assists in a postseason debut, joining the likes of LeBron James, Chris Paul, and funny enough, Derrick Rose, per Bleacher Report (via Elias Sports):

For a player who was doubted heavily because of his size coming out of the University of Oklahoma a few years back, this is a dream for the Hawks' franchise player. Young just stepped up on the biggest stage and lit up one of the best defensive units in the Association.

The best part is he did it in front of 15,000 screaming Knicks fans. He didn't get nervous or unsure of himself. Trae just went to work. Bogdan Bogdanovic was also solid for the Hawks, draining 18 points while shooting 4 for 9 from downtown.

If Trae Young continues to play at this level in the first round, the Knicks are going to have a very hard time winning this series.
