Even without Trae Young in the fold due to a left ankle sprain, the Atlanta Hawks were able to beat Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. After the game, Young celebrated the victory by praising his teammates.

On Twitter, Young tagged the Hawks' 111-104 victory as a “team win.” He also posted a photo of himself hyping up triggerman Bogdan Bogdanovic who led all scorers with 32 points, including six makes from downtown.

Even without Young, the Hawks found plenty of offensive firepower apart from Bogdanovic. Kevin Huerter chipped in 20 points while John Collins had 18 markers. Veterans Danilo Gallinari at Lou Williams chipped in 15 points apiece from the bench.

The game was pretty close throughout. But in the fourth quarter, the Hawks exploded for 41 points and held the Bucks to only 26 to complete the come-from-behind victory.

After the game, Hawks coach Nate McMillan, who has totally done wonders for Young and company since assuming the post, observed that they turned in up in the second half (via ESPN).

“I thought we needed to be more aggressive attacking the basket. I thought we settled in the first half and we had zero free-throw attempts. In the second half, we got aggressive and started attacking the basket.”

With the huge win, the Hawks now sport a 34-27 record for fifth place in the Eastern Conference. With less than 20 games left in the regular season, the team is poised to make a return to the NBA Playoffs. Trae Young isn't expected to miss much time and that only bodes well for the surprising Hawks.
