Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks were on top of the world in Game 1. They came crashing back down hard in Game 2, getting whooped by the Milwaukee Bucks, 125-91.
While there wasn't much to love from a basketball standpoint if you're a Hawks fan, there was indeed one small silver lining amidst the garbage time that was played in Game 2. Trae Young was vocal to reporters on it being the return of sophomore swingman Cam Reddish.
“I think that [Cam Reddish], to be honest, was our only positive thing tonight. Getting to see Cam back, getting to see him on the court was awesome, he played great, was aggressive. That was one of, if not our only bright spot tonight.”
Reddish definitely showed some flashes for the Hawks in 17 minutes of action. He posted 11 points and two rebounds, making four of his 10 attempts from the field. But more importantly, the eye test just showed that he was comfortable in getting to his spots on the court. That's a welcome sight after Reddish underwent a non-surgical procedure to address a lingering Achilles tendon injury back in March.
While it remains to be seen just how much of an impact the 2019 lottery pick will make for the rest of the series for the Hawks, Trae Young wouldn't mind seeing what the youngster can do.
