Trae Young and Kris Dunn got into it as the Atlanta Hawks took on the Chicago Bulls on Sunday afternoon as part of a “home and away” set of games.

The Hawks called a timeout midway through the first quarter right as Young crossed the timeline and casually heaved one up from beyond the arc. As the whistle blew, Dunn appeared to bump into Young, who then took a swipe at the back in passing.

Dunn, taking exception, pushed Young in the back of the head as the two players came together. Young said he was not surprised by Dunn's reaction, even though he may as well have been the one to instigate the incident:

Trae Young was later ejected from the game after hitting a 3-pointer and following it up with a stare in Kris Dunn's direction, earning him a second technical and ejection.

The two teams were coming off a four-overtime game on Friday that ended up being the third-highest scoring game in NBA history. The Bulls won the game 168-161, but Young was electric. He dropped 49 points to go along with 16 assists and eight rebounds.

Young also made a three to send the game into overtime, and made a driving layup at the end of the first OT period to send the game into the second overtime.

The rookie out of Oklahoma struggled mightily in October and November, but he has since become one of the most prolific and exciting point guards in the league.

Young averaged 23.3 points, 9.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds in February while shooting nearly 44 percent from beyond the arc in a month where he attempted the most triples of any other month this season.
