According to The Vertical's Shams Charania, the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers are discussing a deal to swap Jeff Teague and Nerlens Noel.
This deal comes before the Sixers, who recently won the number-one pick in the NBA Draft, picks their consideration between front runners Ben Simmons and Brandon Igram.
Teague has one year remaining on his contract where he becomes an unrestricted freed agent, and Noel, still on his rookie deal, has one year remaining before he becomes a restricted free agent in the summer of 2017.
Noel may be the Hawks back-up plan in the event All-Star Center Al Horford decides to sign with another team, as he will be an highly sought after unrestricted free agent this summer.
The Sixers have been looking for possible veteran point guard for a couple of years, and will have a proven scorer in Teague.
The deal is not yet imminent, but serious discussions are taking place.
