In case you weren't aware, Atlanta Hawks rookie guard Trae Young is really good at basketball. If it wasn't for Luka Doncic, Young would be the rookie everyone would be talking about. This is just further proof of his ridiculous skill (and range).
That's Hall-of-Fame limitless range right there.
This shouldn't be that surprising because Trae Young was known to pop from deep in College. However, it's not as widely accepted in the NBA unless you're Stephen Curry.
Young pulled up with absolutely zero hesitation though and drained the three from basically the logo.
The Hawks ended up beating the Phoenix Suns by a final score of 120-112. Young was a major reason for that, scoring 23 points (11-of-12 from the foul line) to go along with eight dimes.
On the season, the 20-year-old is averaging over 17 points and nearly eight assists per game. He's looked better from three-point range recently as well, and once he gets comfortable with his shot in the NBA (which by the looks of it is happening now), he'll only get better.
The Hawks have been questioned a lot recently due to them trading for Young when they could've had Doncic. Young's play should be silencing those questions, however, as he continues to go out there every night and put up numbers.
It will be fun to see what Trae Young can do for the rest of the year with the Hawks not playing for a postseason spot. We can definitely expect more highlights, and probably a few more limitless range threes.
