Miami belongs to Dwyane Wade. The future Hall of Famer already has a county named after him in South Beach (Wade County) and now he's going to get another high honor.

Miami is close to renaming Biscayne Boulevard in front of the American Airlines Arena after Dwyane Wade, according to Shandel Richardson of The Athletic.

This is Wade's last year in the NBA. He signed a one-year deal with the Heat a week before training camp started and will retire after the season ends.

Dwyane Wade is the Heat’s career leader in points, assists, steals and games played. He has won three championships and was the 2006 Finals MVP. The Chicago native is going to get the farewell tour this season just like Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant got back in the 2015-16 season.

When you think about the Miami Heat franchise, the first name that comes to mind is Dwyane Wade. He made Heat basketball fun again. He's the greatest player in franchise history, and arguably the third best shooting guard in NBA history behind Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan and Kobe.

In seven games this season, Dwyane Wade is averaging 13.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 42.0 percent from the field, 44.8 percent from beyond the arc and 73.3 percent from the free-throw line. D-Wade is coming off the Heat's bench.
