There's no denying that Miami Heat guard Duncan Robinson is widely regarded as one of the best shooters in the NBA. His rise from being an undrafted player into one of the most dangerous three-point specialists in the league is uncanny. He has inspired many others to follow suit.

While he didn't exactly go the same route as Robinson, one rookie definitely relates to the Heat sniper: Washington Wizards wingman Corey Kispert. Actually, Kispert, who was drafted 15th overall, couldn't help but marvel at a short viral video of Robinson working to free himself up for a three-pointer. The fact that Robinson did it against Kispert's teammate Kentavious Caldwell-Pope gets a bonus point for irony.

In a report by NBC Sports Washington, Kispert, who has a sweet stroke himself, admitted that he wants to pattern his game after Robinson, who helped the Heat reach the NBA Finals in 2020.

“Moving without the ball is a learned skill and Duncan has pretty much mastered it. He’s able to create shots for himself just by being in the best shape possible and he has teammates who understand where he is on the floor and can get him open. It was an incredible video to watch and it inspired me, honestly, because that’s the level I want to be at.”

While Robinson's numbers have gone down this season, he remains a focal point of the Heat's offense. He has helped the Heat to the top spot in the Eastern Conference and for sure, he's eager to hike up his production in the NBA Playoffs.

Kispert, meanwhile, has been solid in his rookie year, averaging 8.0 points on 34.4% shooting from beyond the arc.
