Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade announced that the 2018-19 season would be his last in the league. He experienced a slew of emotions in his final campaign, which will be revealed in a 2020 ESPN documentary.

Wade posted a portion of the new documentary on his Twitter account Wednesday afternoon. In the clip, the former Marquette Golden Eagle tries to prepare for his final game, but an accidental knee injury had his status in question.

While celebrating after his final home game in Miami, Wade tried to jump onto the scorers table in a show of appreciation to his fans. He didn't quite make it onto the table, however, which caused him to land awkwardly. In the end, though, he decided to play.

“I didn't think I was gonna make it out on the court that night, but I did it for the love of the game,” Wade wrote in his tweet. “For all of you.”

“Flash,” as Wade came to be known, will go down as one of the greatest shooting guards to have ever played in the NBA. He racked up several prestigious accolades over the course of his 16-year career, including three championships, one Finals MVP and 13 All-Star nods. And though he'll no longer be playing in the league, the memories he left behind will live on forever.
