Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic had quite a November to remember, averaging a 30-plus point triple double throughout the whole month.

He was spectacular once more in the Mavs’ 201-113 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Friday, going one-rebound shy of yet another triple-double, finishing with 42 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds in 38 minutes.

Retired superstar Dwyane Wade took to Twitter and commended the 20-year-old Slovenian for his amazing play in just his second NBA season.

Dwyane Wade does have a point, as the young Luka has already assumed the role as top dog in head coach Rick Carlisle’s rotation. Apart from leading the team in almost all major statistical categories, Doncic  has also earned the green light to fire away at will on offense.

Doncic is averaging 20.0 field goals per game, while converting on 9.7 of those attempts. He is also averaging 9.3 shots from past the arc, draining 3.1 of his tries.

Despite his high output from distance, Doncic still manages to get himself to the line, making 7.6 of his 9.3 trips to the charity stripe.

With Dallas legend Dirk Nowitzki hanging it up for good last season, there is really no other elder statesman left in the Mavericks roster. JJ Barea remains as the sole remnant from the team’s championship run in 2011, but he has only appeared in two games so far this season.

Doncic, meanwhile, plays way advanced for someone his age and already looks comfortable leading the charge for the Mavs in the years to come. It's scary how good he has been in just his sophomore year and it will be fun to witness how good he can really be.
