The Miami Heat roll into Minnesota on Saturday to face the Timberwolves after a big win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. Jimmy Butler played a huge part as well, dropping 24 points and dishing out five dimes after missing one game with a sinus illness. That raises the question, is Jimmy Butler playing vs Timberwolves?
Is Jimmy Butler Playing vs Timberwolves
Unfortunately, the Heat star can't catch a break. Butler is now dealing with toe irritation and will be unavailable here, per Marc Spears:
Heat say Jimmy Butler (toe), Caleb Martin (knee) & Victor Oladipo (rest) have all been ruled out of tonight’s game vs the Wolves.

It's a brutal blow for Miami, but they have managed to stay afloat for most of this season without key players thanks to their tremendous depth. The likes of Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, and Bam Adebayo continue to step up, even when Butler is sidelined. In fact, the veteran has played in only 47 of the team's 68 games, missing times for various different minor injuries. The toe issue previously kept him on the shelf earlier this month, while also dealing with a shoulder problem in February. Miami is also going to have to get by without Victor Oladipo and Caleb Martin.
Nevertheless, Butler is still putting up solid numbers for the Heat, averaging 21.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per night for his squad, who currently lead the East with a 45-23 record. With the playoffs nearing, Miami will definitely want to be cautious with their veteran forward and make sure his toe injury gets fixed up for a hopeful title run.
So to answer the question, is Jimmy Butler playing tonight? The answer is no.
