Miami Heat superstar forward Jimmy Butler infamously led his team to an incredible run to the 2019-20 NBA Finals a season ago. Although Butler and the South beach franchise just wrapped up an unforgettable campaign, it is already time for Miami to put that stint in the past as the 2020-21 regular season starts.

In typical Butler fashion, though, Jimmy Buckets doesn't seem to be too worried about such a short turnaround. In fact, the veteran swingman recently provided a surprisingly positive update regarding his health.

“I’m good to go,” the Heat star said, via Sports Illustrated. “I think it was a mutual decision. The coaches, the organization know what they’re doing. I’m ready to hoop. When I’m out there in practice, I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing, working on my game every single day. I’m ready to go. Now that things start to get real, we’re built for it.”

Unfortunately for Jimmy Butler and company, superstar forward LeBron James and the heralded Los Angeles Lakers were simply too much to overcome in the end of the Finals. The Lakers won the Western Conference as the top seed, while the Heat reached the 2019-20 championship series after finishing the regular season as the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference. Even so, Miami put on quite the impressive performance down in Orlando, one that will truly never be forgotten due to the unprecedented circumstances.

The Heat will now be competing against the Milwaukee Bucks, Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors and others in the absolutely stacked Eastern Conference in 2020-21.
