The Miami Heat added star power in point guard Kyle Lowry from Toronto via a sign-and-trade deal worth $90M for three years, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Lowry later confirmed this on his social media accounts. The Villanova product's excitement cannot be contained as he tweeted his reaction in joining the Heat.

Before eventually signing with the Heat, multiple suitors were expecting the guard's signature. Teams like the Dallas Mavericks and the New Orleans Pelicans were very aggressive in acquiring Lowry as they cleared their cap spaces for him.

Lowry will join Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo to form their version of the big three in South Beach. It will be exciting as the Heat will look to compete for a title next season.

The Miami Heat made the 2020 NBA Finals but eventually lost to the Los Angeles Lakers. Lowry will be a nice fit alongside the other core players of the Heat in Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro. Lowry would provide a steady veteran presence for this team.

Lowry spent his last nine seasons in Toronto before agreeing to a deal with the Heat. He notably won the NBA Championship with the Raptors back in 2019. The championship experience of Lowry will be very crucial and important for this squad.

Lowry averaged 17.2 points (on 44/40/88 shooting splits), 7.3 assists, and 5.4 rebounds in 34.8 minutes per game last season.

Just like the rest of us, Kyle Lowry is very excited to be in South Beach.
