Miami Heat sharpshooter Tyler Herro is truly having a blast in his rookie year. The 13th overall pick of last year's draft figured in an intense match-up with the Los Angeles Clippers' own marksman Landry Shamet at AmericanAirlines Arena on Friday.

After going around Shamet's defense, Herro stopped on a dime and used a nice stepback to free himself up for a jumper. Shamet managed to recover and contest the shot attempt but was too late, as Herro's release hit nothing but nylon. The 20-year-old Kentucky product then pointed to Shamet as he got back on D, mouthing off the words “You can't guard me”.

Shamet and the Clippers, meanwhile, did get the last laugh as they ran away with a 122-117 road win. Tyler Herro might need to look at the box score next time before he talks trash, as Shamet actually did manage to outplay him.

The Clippers' 3-and-D specialist knocked in 22 points, six assists, and two rebounds in 43 minutes while draining 50 percent of his three-point attempts (6-for-12). Herro had a decent outing as well with 19 points and four rebounds but only shot 2-of-10 from distance (20 percent).

The Clips bounced back from a shocking loss to the Atlanta Hawks in their last outing and improved to 32-14 (3rd in the West). The Heat, meanwhile, dropped to 31-14 but are still in second place in the East.
