Packed meat company Oscar Mayer wants Dwayne Bacon to know that they have his name right—unlike Charlotte Hornets general manager Rich Cho, who mistakenly introduced to the media back in the offseason as “Dwyane Wade”.

In a Twitter post, the Hornets rookie forward shared the blessing he just got which is a box full of bacon from Oscar Mayer. As if that wasn’t enough to make us envious, Bacon got it all for free. All it took for him was his name. Ah, the perks of being a Bacon.

Oscar Mayer did themselves a solid here, as they didn’t only make Bacon’s day, they also managed to pull off a cheap advertising tactic they are hoping would go viral. And this write-up is part of the reason why that would happen, so in case anyone from that company is reading this, feel free to contact me for directions where to send your next box of Bacon.

Bacon’s windfall could be a source of envy of his Hornets teammates, though. Jeremy Lamb could be wondering what’s taking companies so long to get him a box of wool or lamb chops at his doorstep.

I’m sorry to say this Jeremy, but not everyone can be as lucky as Bacon. Elden Campbell didn’t open his door to be greeted by rows and rows of canned soups and Channing Frye isn’t getting free pommes de terre frites whenever he drives through a fast food restaurant.
