Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball has become one of the best young players in the NBA in his short time in the league. Ball just so happens to play for the organization, Charlotte, owned by arguably the greatest NBA player of all time, Michael Jordan. LaVar Ball was asked if son LaMelo Ball ever goes to Jordan for advice and he responded in typical, LaVar fashion.

Boy, oh boy. In a long line of hot takes by LaVar Ball, this take might be one of the worst. Yes, Ball is right that the game has changed, and that Michael Jordan hasn't played in a while.

But, when one player has won six NBA championships and the other, LaMelo Ball, is still trying to win his first title, there's a whole lot that LaMelo could learn from Jordan.

The reporters were probably standing there speechless when they heard LaVar Ball asking them what LaMelo Ball would ask Jordan about. How about everything?

Even if the Hornets guard doesn't ever seek out Jordan for advice, the second-year pro is still off to a pretty good start in his career.

After being named the Rookie of the Year last year, Ball has followed that up with a strong start to his second campaign, averaging 20.o points, 8.3 assists, 7.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game while leading the Hornets to a 14-13 record, good for ninth in the Eastern Conference.

While LaMelo Ball is proving that he might not need Hornets owner Michael Jordan's advice, it's still an outlandish take by LaVar Ball to suggest that there's nothing his son could learn from the NBA legend.
