It's that time of the year, folks. With free agency beginning on Monday, the rumors are heating up immensely and one of the latest ones involves the possibility of Lonzo Ball joining his brother LaMelo with the Charlotte Hornets. Yes, you heard that right.

Per The Athletic's John Hollinger, there have been some rumblings about the possibility of the Ball brothers reuniting:

“However, one late, hot item I’ve heard is that a double sign-and-trade may be in the works that sends Ball to Charlotte and Devonte’ Graham back to New Orleans. The Ball brothers would be reunited with the Hornets while the Pelicans would still have a young point guard.”

As Hollinger mentioned, this trade could definitely work for both sides. The Pelicans get a young, established guard in return in Graham, while the Hornets have a new-look backcourt of Lonzo and LaMelo. While it does seem unlikely this double sign and trade would actually happen, just the thought of it is exciting.

Both of the Ball bros are tremendous playmakers and as we saw from Melo in his rookie season, he makes everyone around him better. Add Lonzo into that mix and the Hornets would be a scary sight with two versatile offensive guards at the helm.

Could you imagine how happy LaVar Ball would be, too? Michael Jordan would be getting sick of seeing him at every single home game. Lonzo has been linked to numerous teams this offseason, most notably the Chicago Bulls. There's still the chance he stays in New Orleans, but this Hornets trade possibility is definitely intriguing.
