Isaac Okoro is expected to be a lottery pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, but some experts believe he is going to be selected too high.

On the daily Locked On Auburn Podcast, Zac Blackerby interviewed Locked On Fantasy Basketball host Josh Lloyd about the former Auburn standout. Lloyd’s analysis of Okoro’s offensive game does not sound like something one would say about a lottery pick.

Blackerby: The biggest critique that I had watching Isaac Okoro over his one season at Auburn was that there would be stretches of the game where Auburn could not buy a basket. There would be nothing offensively they could do to score, and Isaac just wouldn’t shoot. Auburn fans are fussing, we finally get a lottery pick and he doesn’t want the ball in key situations. Is that something that you saw while watching his tape?

Lloyd: Yeah. Look, it is a massive problem for him because he has no confidence in his shot because he is not a good shooter. 28.0 percent from three I believe he shot 16 percent on 2-point jump shots which is absurdly low, he does not hit his free throw at a high rate. He is under 68 percent there. Realistically, having that lack of confidence when you’re the best player on your team is a little bit of a worry offensively and you feel that it could shrink even further when he gets to the NBA and if we were talking about a draft class that was stronger, he would probably fall down even further for those concerns because there are no real indicators in his game that will say that he is going to develop into a confident shooter.
