Throughout the season, Avery Bradley has continued to turn a lot of heads with his stellar play, especially on the defensive end. He has drawn plenty of praise for it, further establishing himself as a one of the elite defenders in the league. But for Isaiah Thomas, he is more than just among the best ball hawkers.

Despite Kawhi Leonard, Draymond Green, and Rudy Gobert being widely regarded as the top defensive players in the league, the Boston Celtics point guard recently gave Bradley the highest of compliments and called him the best defender in the NBA today.

Now in his seventh year in the league, the 26-year-old Texas product is having his best season as a pro with career-high averages of 16.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists to go along with 1.2 steals in 33.4 minutes per game. He has been one of the Celtics' most important players which helped them secure the top seed in the Eastern Conference this year.

Bradley has stepped up and is playing even better in the playoffs on both ends of the floor. If he continues to play at a very high level, he will give his team the huge boost that they need to help them in their quest to contend for a title. Individually, he may also be recognized for his defensive efforts as well and could emerge as a perennial candidate for the Defensive Player of the Year award moving forward.
