Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker recently had their rematch earlier this year but talk of a trilogy has already started. The UFC middleweight champion has shown zero interest in a potential third fight and it doesn't seem like he plans on changing his mind any time soon.

There was a lot of disrespect between the two in the past but it seems like the UFC middleweight champion has changed his tune about the Australian. Israel Adesanya had very good things to say about Robert Whittaker while shutting down talk of a trilogy.

“Bobby, he’s a great fighter, I’ll give it to him, he’s a great fighter. But I know how that book ends. I’ve read that book twice already. First time was a quick read, second time was a little bit longer. I mean, he’s probably going to be at the top for a while, but if we fight again, I know how that book ends. So, that’s why I’m excited about this next fight, new blood, someone I’ve never fought.” (h/t MMANews)

Israel Adesanya was also nice enough to give Robert Whittaker some career advice on what he should do next. It seems staying at middleweight is not something the Australian should do if he plans on becoming UFC champion again one day.

“If he wants to, he should go up to 205, see what that’s about, maybe try there for a little bit. But yeah, I’ve read that book already, and I don’t like reading the same book over and over again.”
