Longtime Houston Texans and former Seattle Seahawks pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney is now officially an unrestricted free agent while the former No. 1 overall pick could very well end up playing for his third NFL franchise in as many seasons come 2020-21. While just about every team in the league could use a player like Clowney, there are a few NFL franchises that may need to go all-out to sign the veteran pass rusher.

Because Clowney won't come cheap, it may take a little bit longer for him to find his next landing spot. However, that doesn't mean that there are more than a few teams out there that are ready to give the former Texans standout a massive pay day this spring.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks absolutely must make the team's best effort to re-sign veteran pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney. This should be the team's No. 1 priority this offseason — plain and simple.

Because the Seahawks previously elected to trade current Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark prior to the start of last season, Seattle was then forced to acquire Clowney from the Houston Texans to fill such a void. If Clowney is then removed from the fold in the Pacific Northwest, the Seahawks would be left quite empty handed along the defensive front. Even after a bit of a down season in his lone go-round with the Seahawks, Clowney's presence still went a long way for the playoff-bound NFC West franchise.

New Orleans Saints

As of Tuesday evening, the New Orleans Saints encountered a major problem within the NFC South division — having to play former New England Patriots and soon-to-be Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady not once but twice per season. If the Saints are going to upend the Buccaneers in the divisional standings in 2020-21 and beyond, the team is going to need to get to Brady early and often.

Not only that but the Saints just managed to re-sign veteran quarterback Drew Brees, who took a little less money than expected in order to provide New Orleans with a little salary cap wiggle room. In case the Saints need anymore of a reason to add Jadeveon Clowney, he and fellow pass rusher Cameron Jordan would form quite the duo up front for New Orleans.

New York Giants

Already rumored to have serious interest in his services, the New York Giants should most certainly be at the front of the line when it comes to signing veteran pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney this offseason. Previously electing to place the team's 2020 franchise tag on fellow defensive lineman Leonard Williams, adding Clowney to the fold would only enhance the Giants' defensive front for next season.

With the team's offense all set for the future with Daniel Jones at quarterback and Saquon Barkley at running back, the Giants could use a staple on the defensive side of the football as well. With that in mind, Jadeveon Clowney can no doubt serve as that for “Big Blue” as the team looks to continue its seemingly never ending rebuild.
